Two employees and a customer were stabbed at fast food restaurant in Columbia, S.C. police say

Three people were injured and a man was charged with multiple crimes in a stabbing at a fast food restaurant early Saturday. Columbia Police Department.

The attack took place at the scene Hardee’s is at 5801 US 321/Fairfield Roadpolice said in a news release Saturday night. This is in the area between North Main Street and Exit 70 on Interstate 20.

Shortly before 8 a.m., officers responded to a report. emergency call regarding fight at a Hardee’s fast food restaurant, according to the statement. Officers found three people with what police called “non-life-threatening injuries.”

Police said they believe Ira Grissett, 42, “went to the restaurant to confront a male employee about a personal dispute.”

Information on what led to the attack was not available and there was no explanation as to how all three victims were involved.

Grissett was charged with attempted murder, two counts of assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature, as well as possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime, according to the release.

No bond has been established Jail records show Grissett remains behind bars at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.

After a bond hearing, Columbia resident to return to court on Dec. 13, according to Richland County court records.

Officers recovered the knife used in the attack, which police said was an isolated incident.
