Man accused of shooting pregnant girlfriend in Nashville now linked to pool party shooting

A man jailed for allegedly shooting his pregnant girlfriend now faces additional charges after police say ballistics and license plate readers helped link him to a July shooting at the pool of a Nashville apartment complex.

The Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) said the gunman who opened fire at a pool party at the Hickory Hollow Apartments in Cambridge on July 11 was 18-year-old Davin Denson Jr. reported that it was believed to be. At that time, a 16-year-old girl was shot in the back as a result of the fire. Police said Denson Jr. got out of the car driven by 18-year-old Sujoy Guha-Perry and began shooting at partygoers.

Denson Jr. was already jailed for allegedly shooting his pregnant girlfriend in October. The gun seized by the police was analyzed and determined to be the same gun used in the shooting at the pool party. Video from the scene helped identify him and Guha-Perry, as did a license plate reader at the scene of the pool party shooting.

Denson Jr. He currently faces attempted criminal homicide charges for shooting his girlfriend, and he currently faces five counts of aggravated felonious assault, one count of reckless endangerment and unlawful possession of a firearm for the pool party shooting. Guha-Perry faces five counts of aggravated assault and one count of reckless endangerment.
