What’s at stake?

The reigning national champion Wolverines need a win to become bowl eligible under first-year coach Sherrone Moore as they will be heavy underdogs on the road against rival and second-seeded Ohio State next week. If the Wildcats suffer an upset at the Big House and close out the regular season with a win at home against Illinois, they will have a chance to make the postseason for the second time in two seasons under coach David Braun.

key match

Michigan’s run game against Northwestern’s relatively stingy run defense. Michigan is averaging 155.5 yards rushing and the Wildcats are giving up an average of 114.6 yards on the ground, ranking 28th in the FBS.
