“Your last words were ‘Don’t litter.’

“You can bet I’ll get an epic tattoo on your memory.

“I will always love you, Jamo.”

Sandie Callahan said her brother defended the perimeter when he was allegedly attacked.

Security camera footage of the scene shows a violent fight breaking out on the street, in front of many workplaces and restaurants.

NSW Police Inspector Kylie Endemi previously said police were appealing to the public for information about the violent attack.

“It is important for us to understand what happened to this young man,” Endemi said.

“It is important for us to do this so we can help his poor family understand how and why this young man died.

“They are living every family’s worst nightmare.”

Two people were later charged in connection with the death.

A 27-year-old man was arrested at Waratah Police Station at around 11am on Monday.

The North Lambton man was charged with murder and appeared in Newcastle Local Court on Tuesday.

A 33-year-old woman was arrested at a bus stop in Bankstown at around 5.10pm on Monday.

He was also charged with murder and appeared in Bankstown Local Court on Tuesday.

Both defendants did not apply for bail and were remanded in custody ahead of their next hearing date in January.
