UT Police searching for robbery suspect

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -Sunday morning, the University of Tennessee Police Department responded to 11th St. and sent out an emergency alert reporting a robbery at Cumberland Ave.

According to UT Police, the suspect, who was last seen fleeing across the 3rd Creek Greenway toward Neyland Drive, is still being sought. Police said the suspect was carrying a handgun and was a white or Hispanic male wearing a ski mask and a black hoodie.

UTPD advises anyone who notices the suspect not to approach and immediately call police at 865-974-3111.
