Central Texas man found in possession of child pornography, affidavit says

WACO, Texas (KWTX) – A Central Texas man was arrested after he was found in possession of child pornography, an affidavit alleges.

Kolton Kellum, 27, is charged with possession/promotion of child pornography, a second-degree felony.

According to testimony, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received an online report regarding the distribution of images/videos identified as child pornography.

During the investigation, the affidavit alleges it was discovered that the images/videos were uploaded via an IP address identified as Kellum’s residence.

While reviewing the report, it was revealed that 8 photos/videos were shared through the KIK application in the affidavit.

According to the affidavit, in an interview with Kellum, he confirmed that he was the only person living in the home at the time the images/videos were uploaded and that he was actively using KIK.

After the initial interview, the affidavit alleges Kellum admitted to sending and receiving the images/videos via KIK during a post-miranda interview.

Kellum was transported to McLennan County Jail and held on $10,000 bail.
