The woman did not accept the accusations of theft, retaliation and intimidation

Nov. 22 — LIMA — A Lima woman pleaded not guilty to three charges in Allen County Common Pleas Court on Friday for allegedly breaking into a home and assaulting a person there.

Courtney Shurelds, 33, faces charges of aggravated burglary, a first-degree felony; retaliation, a third-degree felony; and intimidating an attorney, victim or witness in a criminal case, a third-degree felony after the Oct. 3 incident.

According to court documents, Shurelds allegedly entered a home where he did not live and punched one of the residents in the face and head, causing multiple injuries. The police narrative said the family had an ongoing issue with the Shurelds.

Shurelds is being held in the Allen County Jail on $100,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for December 2.
