Allowances for the elderly were deposited into bank accounts in November

The government announced Rs. 3,000 pocket money determined for elderly individuals over the age of 70 registered in the “Aswesuma” social assistance program was transferred to the relevant bank accounts.

According to the statement made by the Government Information Office, the funds have been distributed for November and beneficiaries will be able to withdraw this amount from their accounts starting today (22).

This financial assistance was provided to a total of 511,086 eligible persons under the relief scheme, while a total amount of Rs. 1,533,258,000 has been allocated for distribution this month to ensure the support reaches the intended recipients.
