One person was stabbed after an argument at a business in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – A man was taken to the hospital following a stabbing in Springfield Friday evening.

According to the Springfield Police Department, around 5 p.m., officers responded to a business at 1321 W. Sunshine Street, near the intersection of Sunshine and Fort Boulevard, for an assault.

Police said one man entered the business and a second man entered a little later. As the argument escalated, two people stabbed each other.

The injured, whose life was not in danger, was taken to the hospital.

Police say the suspect left the scene in a possible Nissan Murano and has not been located at this time. Police are investigating what led to the stabbing.
