Surprise! Kendrick Lamar releases sixth studio album GNX, read more details here

While the whole world was getting into the holiday mood, rapper Kendrick Lamar made the best surprise that millions of his fans never expected.

On Friday, November 22, Lamar released his sixth studio album. GNX, Contains 12 new tracks. The surprise gesture came at the end of the year surrounding his highly publicized feud with Drake.

Lamar’s new album comes two years after his last album Mr. Morale and Big Steps Released in 2022, five years after comeback album TO CURSE In 2017.

The album’s artwork is a black-and-white image of a rapper standing in front of a car.

He contributed to the 12-track album with SZA, who featured on the songs “Luther” and “Gloria”. Other artists featured on the album include Sam Dew, Roddy Ricch, Bobby Hawk, Ink and many more.

Lamar’s new album arrives a few months before his Super Bowl Halftime Show performance. In one of his tracks, “Wacced Out Murals,” the rapper addresses the backlash from netizens who thought Lil Wayne was the best choice since the game would be performed in his hometown of New Orleans.

In the song, he raps: “I used to hit ‘Tha Carter 3’, proudly holding my Rollie chain / Irony, I guess my hard work let Lil Wayne down.”

He adds: “I won the Super Bowl and the only person who congratulated me was Nas, all these idiots were nervous, I’m glad it showed on their faces.”

Before this album, he had released the songs “Euphoria”, “Meet the Grahams” and “Not Like Us” consecutively during his rivalry with Drake.

”Not Like Us” is one of the songs nominated for a Grammy in two categories: Song of the Year and Record of the Year. Talking about the diss song he wrote for rapper Drake, Lamar previously said: “This guy’s got morals, he’s got values, he believes in something, he’s on something.” “He’s not pimping.”
