Comprehensive household survey Telangana The government achieved a major milestone by counting one crore families on Friday, November 22, 2024.

survey, which Started on November 6It completed the census of one crore families in 16 days and shattered the myth that the exercise could not be completed anytime soon given the huge details collected by the government.

The survey covered nearly all families in eight of 33 counties. The survey recorded 99.9 per cent rate in Mulugu and Jangaon districts, while Nalgonda and Medak districts followed Jagtial and Gadwal districts with 99.1 per cent rate. Other districts covering more than 98% include Yadadri Bhongir (98.8%), Kamareddy (98.50%), Asifabad and Manchiryal (98%), Nizamabad (97.9%) and Sircilla (97.8%) is taking.

Authorities announced that the investigation was completed in all districts except those living in other regions and those whose homes were locked.

Going by the statistics, people in rural areas seem to have responded positively to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s call that the caste survey will be useful for social empowerment and empowerment of BC, SC, ST and weaker sections in the future.

More than one lakh employees, including enumerators, auditors and data entry operators, are participating in the exercise at various stages. A total of 87,807 enumerators were assigned to conduct the survey, 47,561 of whom were sent to rural areas.

In the first phase, the government conducted census of houses from November 6 to 8 and found a total of 1,16,14,349 families in the state. The second phase began on November 9, when enumerators began door-to-door surveys to collect details. The study revealed that out of a total of 1,16,14,349 families, 64,41,183 lived in rural areas and 51,73,166 lived in urban areas.

However, according to officials, the survey is progressing slowly in Greater Hyderabad, Medchal and Sangareddy districts due to population density.
