Barbie Kardashian, a transgender woman who said she wanted to “electrocute” a female prisoner’s genitals during the hearing, was found not guilty of all charges by the jury.

Kardashian was acquitted at Limerick Circuit Criminal Court of three charges of threatening to kill or cause serious harm to a female prisoner and a female prison officer with intent to cause them to believe the threat would be carried out.

Judge Colin Daly instructed the jury to find the defendant not guilty on the fourth charge.

Giving evidence on the witness stand, Kardashian told the court that he threatened a prison officer by “putting my hands between her legs and grabbing her vagina” to “harass” her and sexually assault her.

It took the jury just over two and a half hours Friday to reach a verdict of not guilty on all counts.

Kardashian was represented by Andrew Sexton SC, who appeared alongside Yvonne Quinn BL on the instructions of solicitor Julianne Kiely.

Kardashian told the court she wanted to “make the two women suffer” because she was upset and angry after rumors circulated that she had left the showers in the women’s section of the prison dirty with body hair.

The prison officer said he was “horrified” by Kardashian after she threatened him.

The prison inmate said at the hearing that he accused Kardashian of leaving the showers dirty and then Kardashian threatened to rape him. The prison inmate said he had to use a “hose” several times to remove “body hair” from showers.

Kardashian said she leaves the showers clean, hygiene is very important to her and she “doesn’t want to smell.”

Kardashian said she was “saddened and disappointed” by the rumors among female inmates.

During cross-examination instructed by prosecution lawyer John O’Sullivan and State Solicitor Padraig Mawe, Kardashian admitted that he had threatened to rape the female prisoner with an object because she “couldn’t have children”.

Mr O’Sullivan asked Kardashian “what object” he would use to rape the female prisoner.

“I wanted to use an electric wand, but that wasn’t possible for me. I remember thinking that I wanted to use the handle of a sweeping brush or mop. “I wanted to torture him sexually, I wanted to electrocute his genitals,” Kardashian replied.

Kardashian said she hated having male genitalia and would “use an object to rape.”

Kardashian admitted threatening to rape the female prisoner and threatening to “sexually assault” or “harass” the prison officer.

“I wanted revenge,” Kardashian said.

Kardashian was born to a boy named Gabriel Alejandro Gentile. She legally changed her name to Barbie Kardashian via deed poll and in 2020 received a certificate from the State recognizing her as a female.

Kardashian looked surprised after the “not guilty” verdicts were read.

“Yes. I’m very happy,” he was heard saying.
