Swara Bhasker Reacts After Husband Fahad Ahmad Loses Primary Election

Actress Swara Bhasker alleges ill-treatment after her husband Fahad Ahmad, who was a candidate from NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar), lost his first Maharashtra Assembly election. Sana Malik, daughter of veteran politician Nawab Malik, who was the candidate of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), won the election from the seat. It made its debut in the state polls.

Swara claimed that Fahad took the lead and suddenly EVMs were opened. “Inside Anushakti Nagar vidhaan sabha after steady leadership of Fahad Ahmadf NCP-SP…RAround 17, 18, 19, suddenly 99% battery charger EVMs were opened and the BJP-backed NCP-Ajit Pawar candidate took the lead. How could the batteries of the machines that were voted on ALL day be 99% charged? Why are all the 99% charged batteries voting for the BJP and its allies?” he asked X.

Ahmed also claimed that there was manipulation in the survey results, saying “I am coming after you” in his X message to the election commission. “This is a ranking manipulation. We demand a recount of rounds 16, 17, 18 and 19,” he added. “I was ahead until lap 17, the CU (control unit) 99% battery dilemma still needs to be resolved (sic))”.

Fahad Ahmad is a former member of SP who joined NCP (SCP) in October. A graduate of Aligarh Muslim University, Ahmed was an active student politician and anti-CAA agitation, The Times of India reported.
