Ogden Police say video shows father trying to stop his daughter from running away

OGDEN, Utah — The Ogden Police Department has identified two men caught on video during some sort of altercation.

The police, who were unaware of what was happening in the video when a girl was being dragged by a man, announced on Saturday that the two were father and daughter and that the father was trying to prevent his underage daughter from escaping.

Authorities were able to identify both men after the man called police to identify himself and notify them of the situation.

Police said both men are safe and that the department will conduct a full investigation, which will include the Department of Children and Family Services and the prosecutor’s office.
