Brothers who robbed their deceased relative’s house were arrested

Fort Towson, Oklahoma (KXII) – Two brothers were arrested for allegedly robbing a dead man’s trailer.

According to the Choctaw County Sheriff, a Fort Towson man purchased a mobile home before he died; Heather Bates, 26, and Justin Bates, 30, stole several items that were later recovered by Choctaw County deputies following a search warrant Wednesday morning. Authorities found marijuana and meth among the stolen items.

The Bates are accused of concealing stolen property.
