Surveillance investigation: Voyeurs secretly film ‘intimate’ video at holiday home of UFC star Conor McGregor and Dee Devlin during Nikita Hand civil rape trial in Rostrevor, Co Down

Investigation continues after voyeurs secretly took video at home McGregor shared with his family during the hearing

Details of the police investigation were confirmed yesterday, with posts on Conor McGregor’s official

McGregor was ordered to pay €250,000 to Ms Hand after a jury found he assaulted her at the Beacon Hotel in Dublin on December 9, 2018.

Throughout the trial, McGregor and his family lived in Rostrevor, Co. Stayed in a luxury beach house on Down with backyard beach access, private sauna, outdoor hot tub and bar.

The PSNI’s voyeurism investigation relates to an incident at around 12.35pm on November 12, when a number of men secretly videotaped a couple engaging in an intimate act in a room at the rear of the property.

In a statement to the Sunday World yesterday, a PSNI spokesman said: “Police received a report of voyeurism involving a man and woman in the Rostrevor area at around 12.35am on Tuesday morning, 12 November.

“Inquiries are ongoing and we would ask anyone with any information to contact police on 101 quoting reference 40 of 12/11/24. You can also report online at www.psni.police.uk/makeareport/.”

It is understood that parts of the video were later shared on social media but were later removed.

In one part of the video, the man in the video is seen realizing he is being watched from the property boundary and making a phone call.

“He’s looking for fucking security,” one of the alleged watchers was heard saying in the recordings.

Hours before the videos began to circulate, MMA fighter McGregor, who faced compensation of approximately 1 million Euros and legal expenses after the case, said on the bench at the Supreme Court that his friend James Lawrence was accused of raping Nikita Hand.

On Friday, the jury that found McGregor attacked Ms Hand at the Beacon Hotel found that James Lawrence did not attack him.

And yesterday, less than 24 hours after the jury announced its verdict, a series of outrageous statements about Ms Hand, the hearings and the Supreme Court itself were published on McGregor’s official ‘X’ account.

In response to the hearing being covered under the heading ‘Justice served’, the account stated ad nauseam: “Justice served for James Lawrence, yes! What they did is deplorable. Nikita Hand, treacherous liar! Attractive!”

In another part of the statement published on the site, the following statements were included: “It is a court of emotions and ideas where people are brainwashed through the mainstream media. Not really! The news in court was a laughing stock for everyone present.

“Clear as day bias. This is not a court of hard evidence and facts. This is the kangaroo court of ideas and emotions. “We’re not done yet.”

The posts follow a previous post on Friday evening in which McGregor’s account confirmed he would appeal the punishment.

The UFC star and his partner James Lawrence were sued by hair colourist Ms Hand, 35, who said she was raped by both men in a Dublin hotel in December 2018. Both men denied the allegations and said the sex was consensual. All three testified at the hearing.

Although McGregor appeared emotional in the High Court immediately following the jury’s verdict, he struck a carefree demeanor at Rostrevor with Dee and their four children: Conor Jr, seven, Croía, five, Rían, three, and 11-month-old Mack.

Following the first week of the trial, McGregor shared photos and videos showing him enjoying a weekend full of activities, including beach walks.

James Lawrence was acquitted

Located between the Morne Mountains and Carlingford Lough, the property can be rented from Airbnb for €1,037 per night.

McGregor’s display of affection with his fiancée Dee and his family came after the High Court heard the UFC star denied rape and instead had “athletic” sex with Nikita Hand after a night of partying and taking cocaine.

Dee, who was in court Friday to support him as he awaited the jury verdict, was heavily pregnant at the time and gave birth to the couple’s second child a few weeks later.
