Judge revokes license of 71-year-old man who pleaded guilty in Hilo hit-and-run

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – A Hilo judge revoked driver’s license 71-year-old man confessed his crime to negligent homicide.

Carlton Inada confessed to police last october He said he deliberately hit 79-year-old Barbara Klein with her tricycle, which was lying on the ground, and then left the scene.

He later died from his injuries.

Inada accepted a plea deal in August and was later released from custody after serving a year behind bars.

This week, a judge also sentenced Inada to five years of probation and ordered him to sell or give away his vehicle.
