Stabbing on Long Island: 1 person seriously injured in stabbing at Smith Haven Shopping Center in Lake Grove

LAKE GROVE, Long Island (WABC) — One person was seriously injured in a knife attack at a shopping mall on Long Island.

According to Suffolk County Police, the victim was stabbed at the Smith Haven Mall in Lake Grove just before 8 p.m. Saturday.

No statement was made about where the attack in the shopping center took place or how the stabbing occurred.

An investigation is ongoing.
