Ranjith’s behavior has successfully changed

Recalling his first encounter with Ranjith in Madras, Ashraf described him as a humble and charismatic young man. The writer said that when she first met Ranjith, he was a person with very attractive qualities. He smiled at everyone and spoke humbly. All his films, whether written or directed, bore his unique signature. Unlike others, he did not rely on foreign language films for inspiration. Public criticism and strained relations

Ashraf pointed out that it was difficult to agree with many of Ranjith’s public statements. He stated that Ranjith had once said that he had no obligation to the public and claimed that he only made crime films. This view led to widespread disagreement.

He also commented on Ranjith’s tenure as the president of Kerala State Chalachitra Academy and claimed that it further increased the director’s arrogance. He was at the height of his pride at that time. Those who once applauded him began booing instead. Their fans kept their distance and even the Kerala State Chalachitra Academy returned. When the sexual assault case came to light, the government abandoned him, too.

He told a painful incident

Recalling an incident on the sets of Aaraam Thampuran, Ashraf shared an emotional statement involving actor Oduvil Unnikrishnan. He said that one day on the set, Unnikrishnan played a joke on Ranjith. Ranjith, drunk and arrogant, did not appreciate this. He slapped Unnikrishnan hard, causing him to fall to the ground. His eyes were swollen with tears when others helped him.

At that moment Unnikrishnan became discouraged. The laughter and joy that once defined him disappeared in the following days. It took him a long time to recover mentally and emotionally.
