Bucks’ Young Guard Crashed Car into Milwaukee Apartment

Milwaukee Bucks guard Andre Jackson Jr. crashed into a downtown Milwaukee apartment building Saturday following the team’s morning practice. Jackson’s car was the only vehicle involved in the accident.

Jackson reportedly did not seek medical attention and was not injured during the crash. No one was injured in the accident.

Bucks communications director Barry Baum released a statement Saturday night following the crash.

“Andre was involved in a single-vehicle accident following team practice this morning. Andre was alone in his car,” Baum said. Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. “Fortunately, no one was injured and did not require medical attention. Andre will join the team in New York for tomorrow’s match.”

The metal railing and brick wall of the apartment building were damaged in the accident.

The accident is not expected to cause Jackson to miss any time. Jackson’s plan to travel with the team for Sunday’s game at the Brooklyn Nets remains in place. The Bucks are leading the game 1-1 and looking for their second win of the season.

The 22-year-old player has yet to score a point in the first two matches of the season for the Bucks. He appeared in just one minute of action in the Bucks’ first game of the season.

Jackson appeared in four games for the Bucks in the preseason and had seven points, 13 rebounds and two assists in four games.

Jackson played in 57 matches for the Bucks in the 2023-24 season and was in the starting five in eight of these matches. He averaged 2.2 points, 2.0 rebounds and 0.9 assists per game in his rookie season.

The 1.80 tall guard was selected by the Orlando Magic with the 36th pick in the 2023 NBA Draft. Magic traded Jackson to the Bucks on draft night. Jackson played college basketball at UConn before entering the NBA, helping the Huskies win a national championship in 2023.
