Kripalu Maharaj’s eldest daughter Vishakha Tripathi died in a road accident in Noida

The eldest daughter of spiritual leader Kripalu Maharaj died after her car was hit by a truck here on Sunday, police said.

Vishakha Tripathi (75), along with her two younger sisters and five others, was traveling from Vrindavan to Delhi via the Yamuna Expressway in two cars. Police said they would go to Singapore from there.

A canter driver crashed into both vehicles in Dankaur area on Sunday morning. A police spokesman said eight people, including Maharaj’s three daughters, were seriously injured in the accident.

The victims were rushed to hospitals in Noida and Delhi for treatment, from which Vishakha Tripathi died. His sisters, Krishna Tripathi and Shyama Tripathi, were admitted to Delhi’s Apollo Hospital and their condition was said to be serious, the police spokesman said.

The police sent the body for autopsy.

In a condolence message, Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat, Bhakti Dham President Dr. He said it is with great sadness that we must inform you that Vishakha Tripathi has unfortunately passed away and her last rites will be performed in Vrindavan.

The spiritual leader and his family were residents of Mangarh (Kunda) in Pratapgarh district of Uttar Pradesh. While Vishakha Tripathi was taking care of the ashram in Pratapgarh, her two younger sisters were taking care of the temples in Vrindavan and Barsana.
