Trump makes unqualified pick to lead Defense Department | Literature

President-elect Donald Trump’s nominee, Pete Hegseth, is unfit to be secretary of defense, even setting aside the unproven sexual assault allegations against him.

Although Hegseth is an experienced individual, Senate confirmation of a nominee with no experience leading a large and complex organization like the Department of Defense would be in stark contrast to the idea that our military is a merit-based, professional force. He is in charge of millions of military and civilian employees. not entry level or training opportunity.

Moreover, Hegseth’s public views do not inspire confidence that he will provide apolitical leadership. He portrayed the political/social situation in the United States as a crusade between irreconcilable enemies, with the only option being the complete victory of his and Trump’s chosen side. Our military’s ultimate loyalty is to the U.S. Constitution, not to political parties.

Hegseth’s candidacy appears to be based on the idea that the military needs to stop being “woke,” but the current challenges have nothing to do with “wokeness.” These have to do with chronic congressional delays in passing appropriations bills; insufficient funding for maintenance and modernization; competition with the private sector for recruitment; and the stress on equipment, personnel, and logistics systems brought on by decades of worldwide over-reliance. The list goes on and on.

This is extreme caution. getting rid of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs, and all other military programs Promoting fair treatment and participation a bogeyman that distracts from the real problems affecting our military readiness.

What Bernie has and Kamala doesn’t

When I ask my wife blue collar Pennsylvania friends When I asked why they voted for President-elect Donald Trump, I got a surprising answer. “…because Bernie Sanders wasn’t on the ticket,” they said.

On the surface this makes no sense, considering Sanders is on the far left and Trump is firmly on the far right. But look a little deeper.

In 2016, when independent Vermont senator Sanders was running against Hilary Clinton in the Democratic primary. “got it” in relation to these voters. He achieved this in town hall meeting after town hall meeting in a way Clinton could never understand. He seemed distant and elitist. I believe Sanders will beat Trump in that presidential election, but that’s still pure conjecture.

On the opposite side of the Atlantic in 2019, Labour’s Jeremy Corbyn lost the votes of Britain’s working class. and Boris Johnson from the Conservatives became the prime minister of the United Kingdom. this yearLabour’s Kier Starmer took back the working class, He became prime minister with a sensational vote The recent tendency to move towards the right in Europe and populist politics.

This year in America, Kamala Harris lost the blue-collar votes. The Democrats will need to do some serious house cleaning to get him back!

Congress duo should resign

U.S. Reps. Mikie Sherrill, D-11, and Josh Gottheimer, D-5, was recently re-elected to Congress.

They suggested to voters that they would work for them full time during the next session of Congress. But now, Both were declared candidates candidate for governor in next year’s Democratic primary.

Running for governor and being a member of Congress should be considered two full-time jobs.

It’s no secret that Gottheimer and Sherrill have been planning their gubernatorial run for months. They should do the honorable thing and resign from Congress. Their ambitious power play is one of the many reasons why people don’t vote.

The election is over; stop dividing the country

This letter was sent to the Star-Ledger but was directed to all left-leaning media: Stop dividing the country.

A. The majority of the voting public chose Donald Trump as president. For all the hate speech the left could spread, it didn’t help them bottom line. Some of the things they did were compare Trump to Hitler and say: Trump’s supporters are “trash.”

Now liberals are directing all their venom at Trump’s cabinet picks. Understand that Trump was elected a second time because the American people are tired of all the demonstrations the left is running around Washington.

So instead of being skeptical of Trump’s choices, the left is going into attack mode. They won’t give Trump, his programs or his cabinet picks a chance. The left finds fault with everything.

These tactics didn’t work in the election, and they won’t work now. Once again, stop dividing the nation and help bring it together.
