Man ‘stabbed’ on Westminster Bridge actually had heart attack – police

A man who police initially believed was stabbed Westminster Bridge actually had a heart attack, Metropolitan Police They confirmed.

Police officers were called after a fight broke out on the central bridge at around 10.45am on Sunday. London.

The Met Police responded along with the London Ambulance Service and London Air Ambulance and found a man in cardiac arrest.

Police said initial reports suggested the man had been stabbed, but subsequent investigations confirmed this was not the case.

While the investigation into the incident continues, it is stated that the man is in critical condition and remains in the hospital.

While 3 people were detained on suspicion of attempted murder, 1 person was arrested on suspicion of affray. Two of those detained were hospitalized with head injuries.

Police said they would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed the incident.
