Oceanview Re Introduces Stelian Dragan

Oceanview Reinsurance Ltd. announced the promotion of Stelian Dragan to the newly created role of President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of its Bermuda business, effective immediately.

A spokesperson said: “As President and CEO, Mr. Dragan will oversee the operations of Oceanview Reinsurance with the aim of delivering innovative reinsurance solutions and strengthening its reputation as a trusted partner in the industry. Mr. Dragan has served as the company’s President and Chief Business Development Officer since April 2022 and has over two decades of experience in reinsurance and financial services. “With expertise in corporate development, strategic planning and capital markets, he has a proven track record of building relationships and implementing transformative business strategies.”

“Mr. Dragan previously held leadership roles at Athene Life Re, Bear Stearns and Deutsche Bank Securities, where he developed expertise in reinsurance solutions, strategic consulting and capital raising. He holds an MBA in Finance from Columbia University,” the spokesperson said.
