Man charged after stabbing elderly Madison homeowner

MADISON, Maine (WABI) – A Madison man is in custody for allegedly stabbing his homeowner.

According to the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office, they responded to a reported stabbing on Heald Street in Madison on Thursday afternoon.

Daniel Nordin, 53, is said to have stabbed his 82-year-old landlord in the stomach and hand when the owner tried to enter his apartment over a maintenance issue.

The homeowner was taken to the hospital with stab wounds that authorities said were not life-threatening.

Nordin was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.
