Nick Saban Predicts Auburn Win Over Texas A&M: ‘It’s Haunted’

from six strokeswith Prayerwith 4th and 31st, Auburn Tigers While he benefited from the influence on his home turf, he also suffered.

Former Alabama head coach and ESPN analyst Nick Saban, who is 5-4 in his career at Jordan-Hare Stadium, had a warning for Texas A&M about what to expect when taking the field against Auburn on the road.

“I will warn Texas A&M,” Saban said. “In my opinion, having played at Jordan-Hare for 17 years, it’s a haunted place. The way we lose games there, the way we win games is incredible. Kick Six and ‘Gravedigger’ last year, I’m telling you, it’s haunted.”

This warning could have been useful for the Aggies earlier in the week, especially from the head coach Mike Elko he apparently underestimated the Tigers.

“Our focus is on Texas alone, so we’re on Auburn right now,” Elko said.

It appeared Elko’s initial thought was correct and Texas A&M had its eye on the matchup with Texas. In a matchup that had “trap game” written all over it, Auburn pulled off the upset and likely ruined the Aggies’ chances of competing in the College Football Playoff this season.

Texas A&M trailed 21-0 in the second quarter and took a 31-28 lead with 4:01 left in the fourth quarter. Auburn advanced down the field for a game-tying field goal by Ian Vachon, who kicked to force an overtime kick.

Payton Thorne connected with KeAndre Lambert-Smith, who made a spectacular catch in the fourth overtime period. We put the Tigers ahead 43-41. A drop by Texas A&M’s Amari Daniels sealed the deal.

I really couldn’t get Coach Şaban out of my mind. Texas A&M should have listened to the warning from one of the game’s all-time greats.
