Venezuelan men arrested for attacking and stabbing police – Demerara Waves Online News- Guyana

Four Venezuelan men have been arrested for allegedly stabbing and attacking a Guyanese police officer after he intervened in a violent argument between two women, one of whom was speaking Spanish.

The incident occurred shortly before midnight on Sunday in Cornhill Street, Georgetown, a short distance from Stabroek Market.

While on Cornhill Street, he observed a Spanish-speaking woman with a broken bottle in her hand arguing with another woman. While doing so, four suspects, one of whom was armed with a knife, approached the officer from behind and attacked him with several knives on his body, causing injuries, the Guyana Police Force said.
