KTM has introduced the new 790 Adventure to global markets, which receives updates regarding its equipment and revised styling. In KTM’s global lineup, the 790 Adventure sits below the 890 Adventure and the number of motorcycles heading to India is high as KTM plans to bring lower-end models to India to attract a larger customer base.

New KTM 790 Adventure — What’s new?

As part of the update, the new 790 Adventure gets revised styling but retains the overall rally bike design inspired by the 450cc Dakar Rally machines. The new 790 Adventure will be available in two color options: White and orange.

The next big change is the front suspension, with the 790 finally receiving the 43mm WP Apex open cartridge front forks from the 890 Adventure. The 890 is a capable off-roader thanks to its suspension setup and now the 790 with the same equipment will make the motorcycle more off-road focused.

New KTM 790 Adventure — Technical specifications of the engine

KTM has not made any changes to the engine of the 790 Adventure. It retains the 799cc parallel twin liquid-cooled engine mated to a six-speed transmission. The engine produces 94bhp and 87Nm of torque. KTM also gave the 790 a new throttle body with integrated knock sensors for the motorcycle to run on low-octane gasoline.
