Child stabbed in Amsterdam supermarket; Three suspects are free

A child was stabbed in a supermarket in the Kinkerstraat district of West Amsterdam on Sunday evening. Emergency services took him to hospital with serious injuries. Police are looking for three suspects.

According to ANP, the stabbing took place around 7.30pm. Police, ambulance and trauma team responded to the scene by helicopter.

The first responders stabilized the injured person and took him to the hospital. A police spokesman said he was conscious in the ambulance.

Police did not release the victim’s age, but AT5 reported he was a minor.

According to the Amsterdam broadcaster, the victim got into an argument with three men shortly before he was stabbed. The suspects fled in an unknown direction.

Police were searching for suspects and asked for witnesses to come forward.
