The wraparound seats are inspired by the original 33 Stradale and are six-way electrically adjustable, and the wraparound sunroof echoes the wraparound glass sections in the original car’s doors.

Refreshingly, there are no buttons on the steering wheel: instead the controls are split between the center console and roof, with a mix of mechanical switches and a retractable touchscreen. Another request from customers was the absence of visible screens or unnecessary technology, which Alfa complied with.

Behind the steering wheel is a 3D ‘telescope’ instrument cluster with different displays for Road or Track driving modes.

customization

Alfa Romeo is a ‘wolf’bottega‘ a team of designers, engineers and Tipo 33 historians worked with the car’s customers for several months, gathering their input and completing numerous exterior design details as well as individual finishes. Alfa Romeo says no two 33s will be the same. For example, some may have a 3D-designed front visor like the concept car pictured, while others may have a more traditional arrangement.

Customers meet at Bottega Headquarters in Sala del Consiglio, at the Alfa Romeo Museum in Arese, where the original 33 was signed.

Additionally, a ‘Committee of 33′ has been created by Alfa Romeo, chaired by the heads of various departments within the company, and customers’ individual preferences for trim or body colors must be approved by the committee. Apart from special requests such as visible carbon fiber, three body colors are planned: classic Rosso Alfa, transparent Rosso or a variant of Royal Blue. A white/red commemorative livery for racing Alfa sports cars is also an official option. There’s no word yet on whether Hot Pink or metallic purple are the committee-approved options, but we won’t hold our breath.

Customers can also choose their own VIN numbers for the cars that will be engraved in the central tunnel.
