Omaha Police identify teen killed in crash on West Dodge Road

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Omaha Police identified the teenager died in an accident Saturday night.

In a statement released Monday, police identified the victim as 14-year-old Keefer Kearns.

Police reported that the investigation is ongoing.

Officers responded to a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle near 156th Street and West Dodge Road shortly before 7 p.m. Saturday, OPD said.

When officers arrived, they found Kearns near the 156th Street exit ramp and immediately began life-saving measures.

The child was taken to CHI Bergan Mercy Hospital, where Kearns died.
