Rams’ Demarcus Robinson arrested on suspicion of drunk driving after loss to Eagles

Rams wide receiver Demarcus Robinson was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence early Monday morning following his team’s loss to the Eagles on “Sunday Night Football.”

Robinson was arrested after authorities pulled him over for speeding more than 100 mph on a Los Angeles freeway. California Highway Patrol confirmed.

Officers stopped Robinson’s white Dodge Sedan on US-101 around 5:13 a.m. local time.

In the press release made by CHP, it was stated that Robinson introduced himself and told officials that he was an active player for the Rams.

“Officers observed objective signs and symptoms of alcohol impairment and Robinson was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence,” the statement said. “Robinson was cited and turned over to a responsible party.”

TMZ, first to break the newsHe stated that Robinson refused to take a field sobriety test at the traffic stop.

Rams has not commented publicly on the arrest.

Robinson appeared virtually unavailable to reporters Monday. According to a video posted on the team’s website.

News of the arrest only broke on the East Coast late Monday night.

Aries Lost to the Eagles 37-20 on Sunday Night and Robinson had two catches for 15 yards and a touchdown in a game played at SoFi Stadium.

The wide receiver had 26 catches for 384 yards and six touchdowns in 11 games for the Rams this season.

He has already surpassed his season total in 2023 with 371 passes and four goals in 16 games.

Robinson began his career in 2016 after the Chiefs drafted him in the fourth round out of Florida.

After playing with the Chiefs through 2021, he spent brief time with the Raiders in 2022 and the Ravens, who acquired him after he was released by Las Vegas following two preseason games.

Robinson signed with the Rams in 2023.
