Police have charged a 36-year-old woman for allegedly stabbing a 27-year-old man in Guildford in Sydney’s west

New South Wales Police have charged a woman after she allegedly stabbed a 27-year-old man in western Sydney.

Emergency services responded to reports of a stabbing at a unit on the Esplanade in Guildford at around 9.15pm on Monday.

Police arrived at the scene and found a man stabbed in the stomach.

The 27-year-old man was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Westmead Hospital where he is currently in a stable condition.

The crime scene was determined and examined by expert teams.

Following the investigation, the 36-year-old woman was arrested at the scene and taken to Granville Police Station.

He was accused of assault.

The woman was refused bail to appear before Parramatta Local Court on Tuesday.
