Large Vehicle Collision on Highway 154 Causes Road Closures and Three Injuries

A vehicle collision involving two sedans occurred on Highway 154 near Paradise Road Saturday evening, resulting in significant injuries and road closures in both directions.

According to the statement made by the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, the accident that occurred at around 20:06 caused a major impact. Emergency services teams were immediately dispatched to the scene and found that both vehicles required rescue efforts to save their occupants.

A total of three patients, one adult female and two adult males, were involved in the intense accident. The adult female suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for emergency medical attention. The adult males suffered moderate and minor injuries, respectively, and were transported to the same hospital by ground ambulance.

The complexity of the rescue process highlighted the seriousness of the collision and the skill and determination of emergency responders to save lives.

As a result of the accident, Highway 154 was closed in both directions near Paradise Road to accommodate emergency services.

The Santa Barbara County Fire Department, along with local law enforcement, is conducting an investigation to understand the circumstances leading up to the crash.
