Philadelphia Eagles Players Show Their Love for 76ers Rookie Jared McCain

Before being selected 16th overall Philadelphia 76ers Last summer, Jared McCain was best known for his activities on social media. While he was continuing an already impressive rookie campaign, two professional athletes in town showed him some love.

Over the weekend, the Philadelphia Eagles were in a prime time matchup with the LA Rams. Superstar running back Saquon Barkley would become the biggest story, rushing for 255 yards and two touchdowns.

After one of his trips to the end zone, Barkley and Eagles wide receiver AJ Brown were seen recreating one of the dances on McCain’s TikTok page.

Social media presence aside, McCain has been a major bright spot for the Sixers after a dismal start to the season. The young guard got more opportunities in playing time and made the most of it.

Over the past three weeks, McCain has put together several impressive outings for an underdog Sixers team. His most notable performance came in a loss against the Cleveland Cavaliers with 34 points and 10 assists. McCain would reach 30 points again in Philly’s NBA Cup victory over the Brooklyn Nets on Friday.

McCain is averaging 16.6 points in his first 16 games while shooting 40% from beyond the arc. On a team loaded with veteran talent, the rookie was able to essentially solidify himself in the rotation moving forward. With his efficient shooting and ability to hold his own defensively, he has the potential to be a strong complementary piece when the Sixers return to full strength.

As for the Sixers, they find themselves facing a long break to regroup. They will be back on the court Wednesday night to host the Houston Rockets in the event of a flood at home.
