Murfreesboro police searching for multiple suspects in gas station theft

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WTVF) — Murfreesboro police are searching for multiple suspects after a snatch and grab incident at a crowded gas station this month. The security camera recorded the murder on tape.

Police said the theft occurred around 5:30 a.m. on Nov. 14 at the 7-Eleven on Church Street, while the store was open and clerks and customers were inside.

In the video, a man wearing green can be seen tying a cable around the ATM after the pickup truck crashed into the glass window of the business. The driver of the pickup then set out to remove the ATM from its base.

The thieves loaded it into the bed of the truck and sped away. Police said they found the stolen pickup truck a while later on Rutherford Avenue. They also found a second stolen victim linked to the crime and the ATM, but are still searching for the suspects.

If you have any idea who these men are, you are asked to call Murfreesboro Police.

Unique, affordable housing for youth aging out of foster care opens soon

Journalism is at its best when we can shed light on an issue that needs more attention. Hannah McDonald does this beautifully, once again highlighting the difficulties experienced by young people aging out of the foster care system. I learned something new from his reporting and was inspired by the work I AM NEXT is doing to make a difference. I think you will too!
