A Kansas man faces charges Stabbed 17-year-old employee Inside a Fleet Farm in Carver, Minnesota.

Gerald Dwayne Hudson, 30, was charged Tuesday with first-degree assault causing great bodily harm and second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon for his role in the stabbing.

What happened?

On November 24, the Carver County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported stabbing at Fleet Farm.

Charging documents say the incident was captured on security camera and shows a man entering the store just after 2 p.m., passing the employee in the aisle, then walking toward her, looking in both directions.

The girl told authorities she didn’t know who the man was. He was transported to the hospital in critical but stable condition, according to court records.

“There was no gun, knife, stick or any other lethal weapon, there was a brief conversation and I hit him with the plastic.” Hudson allegedly said while in prison, according to the complaint.

Police said no weapons have been seized yet.
