Police investigating murder in south Wichita

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Wichita police are investigating the death of a 53-year-old man who was found fatally injured Sunday afternoon.

WPD said officers were dispatched to the 3800 block of S. Hydraulic at 1:15 p.m., following a report of a male body being found. Upon arrival, officers found Marvin C. Walldren, 53, of Wichita, collapsed on the ground with visible injuries.

Emergency services pronounced Walldren dead at the scene.

The Sedgwick County Coroner performed an autopsy and ruled Walldren’s death a homicide.

WPD said the investigation into Walldren’s death is ongoing.
