Lamba said Jaiswal’s husband and brother, as well as five members of his team, were jailed and an order was issued to seize his property.

“We tell you the story of Roshni Jaiswal, the daughter of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s parliamentary constituency Varanasi, who chants ‘Beti Bachao’ slogan. A man named Rajesh Singh has been stalking Roshni for four years and has been threatening to rape her,” she said. said Lamp.

Despite repeated complaints, no action was taken against Singh. Roshni Jaiswal went to his house with her husband and brother and a fight broke out. Lamba said Roshni slapped Singh several times after which his family was jailed.

“Today, Rajesh Singh is walking freely, but Roshni’s family is in jail. Roshni is going door to door with her nine-year-old child and elderly parents, begging for justice,” he said.

Phogat said that as a woman, a daughter, an athlete and now an MLA, she can assure every woman that the struggle started by women wrestlers and their friends in the streets brought her to the legislature and that she will be there for all kinds of support. The girl who feels something is happening to her.

Neither the Uttar Pradesh government nor the Uttar Pradesh Police took any action against Rajesh Singh. “Such people hiding behind saffron cloaks are under the protection of the state. Will any action be taken against them?” said Phogat.

“I have little hope from the government, but it is important to keep the light of hope alive,” said the wrestler-turned-politician.

Prime Minister Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and Brij Bhushan said a “criminal” like Sharan Singh may forget the power of 50 percent population, but women have not forgotten it and will fight.

“Let it be Roshini Jaiswal, athletes; we have to stand with Rohini Jaiswal and in all these cases we have to take this fight to its logical conclusion. The whole country sees the policies of the BJP and its attitude towards women. Phogat said, “Until Rohini Jaiswal gets justice and the inappropriate remarks made against her “The fight will continue until those who say this are punished,” he said.

Lamba claimed that Rajesh Singh, who had threatened Jaiswal with rape, was roaming freely, constantly posting on social media and thanking the BJP leaders for not allowing any action to be taken against him.

“We want to ask Varanasi DM and police administration where has ‘Saffron’ Rajesh Singh been for the last 40 days?” he said.

After Jaiswal and his family had an argument with BJP worker Rajesh Singh on September 15, Rajesh Singh’s wife filed a police complaint regarding the alleged assault.

Last week, Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinate also raised the issue and asked, “Does the police administration want a woman to silently endure the threat of rape?” He had shared a video of Jaiswal in which he talks about his experience of facing online threats and the subsequent actions of the authorities in the case.

“I am the same Roshni Kushal Jaiswal who slapped Rajesh Singh, the BJP supporter who threatened to rape me on September 15,” Jaiswal said in the video. Thereupon, he said that a lawsuit was filed against him under various articles, including Article 307, that is why he has been on the run for 40 days, his wife and brother are in prison, and the court has decided to seize his assets.

“Was it so wrong to slap the person who threatened to rape me to the point of destroying my family?” Jaiswal said in the video.

“I request every woman with tied hands not to raise your voice if you are threatened with rape. Tell your husband and family members to wear bangles. If they raise their voice, they will go to jail,” Jaiswal said. .

Countering Srinate’s allegations, state BJP spokesperson Harischandra Srivastava said he should look at the facts before making a public statement. He said that under Yogi Adityanath, the law treats everyone equally and no one has the right to take the law into their own hands.

Singh’s lawyer Vivek Shankar Tiwari said that Jaiswal and his supporters attacked the BJP worker outside his house, resulting in his wife Anu filing an FIR. He said that the ongoing legal proceedings resulted in a court order to attach Jaiswal’s properties due to his absence in court.
