Android15 It includes several different ways to view your notifications. There are app icons in the status bar, banners in the notification shade, and the same banners on the lock screen. If you receive a lot of notifications throughout the day, this can cause your lock screen to become cluttered pretty quickly. To solve this problem, Android 15 QPR2 Beta 1 Includes a new “Lock screen notification minimalism” setting revealed by Android Authority.

The strings of code for the option explain that “fewer notifications will be shown on the lock screen.” Writing for Android Authority, Mishaal Rahman managed to enable the feature early and noted that it didn’t actually reduce the total number of notifications. On the lock screen – but that may come later.

Instead, the feature currently appears to minimize lock screen notifications and only display their icons in a small pill-shaped area below the clock. Similar to the existing lock screen app, you can tap this to reveal the title and body of each notification in the list. This adds an extra touch to the process, but may be worth it in exchange for a more minimalist lock screen look that actually shows off your wallpaper.

Lock screen notification minimalism This feature is available as a toggle button in the settings app in Android 15 QPR 2 Beta 1. It can be enabled or disabled depending on your preferences. However, the feature appears to be still in development, and we don’t know when it will be released or what exactly it will do when it does.

Although the lock screen notification minimalism feature was first discovered in Android 15 QPR2 Beta 1, it is not guaranteed to be released in the public version of Android 15 QPR 2; Pixel Feature Drop or Android16.
