Motorcyclist killed in PIE crash; Tower Transit bus driver arrested, Latest Singapore News

A motorcyclist was killed in an accident with a Tower Transit bus on the Pan Island Expressway on November 27.

In a post on Facebook the same day, Tower Transit Singapore said it was “deeply saddened” by the accident, which occurred at around 10.30am near the expressway’s Toa Payoh exit.

According to the post, the motorcycle driver died at the scene of the accident, while the bus driver was arrested. Tower Transit said it was assisting with ongoing police investigations.

Tower Transit Singapore said the bus, operating on the Service 966 route, was carrying 30 passengers at the time of the accident, adding that none of them were injured.

“No words can fully express our condolences and apologies to the motorcyclist’s family and loved ones,” the post said. “We are making every effort to reach them to provide all the necessary help and support during this difficult time.”
