1 dead as authorities respond to water rescue call near Dunedin Gorge

PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. — One person was found dead near the Dunedin Causeway after deputies received a water rescue call Wednesday.

According to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO), deputies responded to the call at 11:40 a.m. near Dunedin Pass.

PCSO said one person was pronounced deceased.

Authorities are investigating the incident and have not released further details.
