Rochdale: Men jailed for abusing boys for two decades

DC Richards said the two men had shown no remorse for their crimes and believed they had gotten away with it.

He added: “(Marsh) cheated on these young boys and was able to live this life for many years, but now he’s finally been caught.”

He said he believed there were more victims yet to come forward, adding: “One of the boys told me there would be more victims because he (Marsh) was so insistent about what he expected from young men.

“It got to a stage where some of the boys were too old for him, so he then moved on to younger boys.”

Charity We Are Survivors is supporting Marsh and Whitehead victims throughout the legal process.

Chief executive Duncan Craig urged anyone who has been subjected to harassment to come forward.

He said: “You don’t need to step foot straight into a police station. We’ve had many, many, many times over the years where people have come to our service and accessed support without even considering speaking to the police.

“Please don’t feel like you’re on your own, because even though it may feel that way, I guarantee you you’re not.”
