Children injured in dog attack in Hastings – report

Emergency services and animal control were called to a property in Hastings after two people were injured.

Hawke’s Bay Today reports Two children were injured, one seriously, as a result of a dog attack Wednesday afternoon.

The report also included Hastings District Council’s statement that a dog was seized at the animal control centre. The dog had previously been registered but was not present at the time of the alleged attack.

Officers were called to Hood Street around 3:10 p.m.

Two people are said to have been hospitalized.
