Tosh’s partner, Donnie, also testified that he did not believe one of his close friends was being considered a suspect, even though police initially had every reason to believe he might have been involved in his wife’s death.

This continued in tonight’s episode (November 27).

Not only did Tara scold Tosh for doing her job when he asked her to accompany him on Annie’s hospital visit, but Donnie also had some choice words for the detective.

“What’s wrong with Tara?” she told him after initially receiving the silent treatment when he returned home.

“This is business, Donnie,” he said. “I can’t talk about it, okay?”

However, he wasn’t happy with her response and continued to give Tara a hard time for making her “upset”.

“No, it’s okay,” he replied. “You can’t keep using this as an excuse to piss everyone off. These are our friends, Tosh. We know these people.”

But he quickly reminded her that no matter how well we think we know the people in our lives, everyone has secrets. And when someone is murdered, no matter how strange and unpleasant it is, it’s the job of people like Tosh to pull back the curtain.

“Honestly, Tosh, I don’t know how you can do your job,” he responded.

But he refused to back down.

“I’m trying to find out who killed Annie, and I won’t apologize for it,” he said firmly.

Donnie then walked away leaving a very upset Tosh alone.

O’Donnell previously said RadioTimes.com that the investigation “put some jeopardy” on Tosh and Donnie’s partnership.

“Like most relationships, there are challenging moments, but this felt like something different,” he explained.

“It’s a little deeper and more fundamental in terms of what their relationship is, how they see each other, how they see the relationship and their life in this little community, and what the priorities are.

“And I don’t think Tosh will come out of this unscathed. Their relationship at the end of the series is not the same as it was when the series began.”

However, in addition to this ongoing dispute, there was a new development in the 4th episode.

Detective Calder received a call from an old acquaintance on the force about Euan Rossi, who was a friend of Annie’s and worked with her. analyst at intelligence serviceOr so he had told the detective earlier.

However, when Calder told him Rossi was in Shetland, he warned the detective to “let him in”.

“I don’t know why he’s there or what he’s doing, but Rossi is dangerous,” he added. And of course the suspicious party was grabbing a gun at that moment.

It turns out Ruth’s suspicions about him were right all along…
