Lancaster man faces 22 charges after drugs, guns seized at home: Police

LANCASTER, SC (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A Lancaster man is facing a number of charges in connection with drug possession and trafficking.

Lancaster Police say a search warrant was executed on Nov. 22 at the home of 44-year-old Corey De’Mon Mack. The following items were reportedly seized:

  • 23.47 grams of suspected Crack Cocaine

  • 16.20 grams of suspected Cocaine

  • 2.74 grams of suspected Fentanyl

  • Several pills suspected to be Morphine, Oxycodone and Gabapentin

  • 4.8 grams of suspected marijuana

This came after the Lancaster County Multi-Jurisdiction Narcotics Task Force purchased what was believed to be cocaine from Mack at his home.

Mack and three others were taken into custody at the home, but Mack was the only person charged. He was denied bond, leaving him in the Lancaster County Detention Center. Mack is accused of:

  • Crack Cocaine Smuggling 10-28 Grams

  • Cocaine Smuggling 10-28 Grams

  • Possession with Intent to Distribute Fentanyl

  • Embassy to Distribute Morphine

  • Possession with Intent to Distribute Oxycodone

  • Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana

  • Possession of Medicine Without a Prescription

  • Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute Near a School or Park – Two Counts.

  • Possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime – Eight offenses

  • Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Convicted of Certain Crimes – Four offenses

“Our agents did an excellent job of arranging the purchase of narcotics from Mack and gathering sufficient information to obtain a search warrant,” said Sheriff Barry Faile. “Mack was in possession of a significant amount of drugs and multiple firearms and we are pleased they have been taken off the street. We expect he will remain in prison for a long time as a result of this operation.”

In addition to task force agents, the Sheriff’s Office’s Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Team and Street Crimes Unit and a State Law Enforcement Division (SLED) agent were also part of the search of Mack’s home.
