Here is the updated list of closures ahead of the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) – The second annual Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix is ​​just 29 days away – in anticipation of the shutdown.

Track preparations along the Las Vegas Strip Circuit include track lighting and the installation of barriers. Crews are preparing to break ground from October 28 to November 10.

Las Vegas Boulevard

  • Nightly lane reductions for track lighting installation from midnight to 9 a.m. from Spring Mountain Road to Harmon Avenue will continue Monday through Friday through Nov. 1; One lane in each direction will always be open. Several left turn lanes on Las Vegas Boulevard will be affected during daylight hours.
  • Installation of the Bellagio Fountain Club will continue through November 20 with the closure of two southbound lanes from Flamingo Road to Bellagio Road. Bellagio Las Vegas Hotel and Casino will remain open throughout construction and periodic lane changes are expected.
    • The sidewalk between Flamingo Road and Bellagio Road will remain closed to pedestrians. Guests can use the nearby pedestrian bridges and sidewalks on the other side of Las Vegas Boulevard.

Pedestrian Bridges over Las Vegas Boulevard

Three pedestrian bridges will be closed overnight and will remain open outside of these hours.

  • Cromwell to Caesars (Flamingo North) pedestrian bridge over Las Vegas Boulevard north of Flamingo Way: Closed from 9 pm to 9 am, November 3 through November 6.
  • Venetian (Sands South) pedestrian bridge at Las Vegas Boulevard at Sirens Cove Boulevard: midnight to 9 a.m. Nov. 7 through Nov. 11.
  • From Planet Hollywood to the Cosmopolitan (Harmon North) pedestrian bridge at the intersection of Las Vegas Boulevard and Harmon Street: midnight to 9 a.m. Nov. 7 through Nov. 11.

Sands Boulevard

  • Nightly lane reductions for road barrier installation will take place from 21:00 to 06:00 from October 27 to November 1; One lane in each direction will remain open during overnight closures.
  • Daytime passing lanes will be limited to two lanes in each direction, MSG Sphere driveways will be closed, movement will be restricted at the intersection of Koval Lane and Sands Avenue, and signal changes will occur at various intersections on Sands Avenue.
  • Due to the installation of barriers, lane reductions will be made from 21:00 at night to 6 in the morning from Sunday to Friday from November 3 to November 15; During night closures, one lane in each direction will always be open.
  • The pedestrian bridge from Wynn to Venice on Sands Boulevard will be closed from 9 p.m. to 9 a.m. from Nov. 3 to Nov. 6 and will be open outside of those hours.

Koval Road

  • Koval Road, located at the intersection of Koval Road and Flamingo Road, will be closed from 9pm to 6am from November 6 to November 7 due to the construction of a pedestrian bridge on the north side of Flamingo Road.
  • There is access to Jay’s Market/Shell Gas Station via Flamingo Road.

Other Locations

  • Nightly single lane closures continue at various points for track lighting testing and commissioning. Positions along the circuit are not predetermined and may change.
  • Runway Barrier Opening and Quality Control is scheduled for the week of November 4th and two lanes will be closed overnight at various locations on the track. There will be no impact on the highway during daylight hours.

RTC Transit Effect

Three bus stops along Sands Boulevard will be closed, including:

  • stop 2572 – Spring Mountain Boulevard westbound after Las Vegas Boulevard will be closed from 9 pm to 6 am from Monday, October 28 through Wednesday, October 30.
  • stop 2504 – Sands Boulevard eastbound from Koval Lane will be closed from 9pm to 6am from Wednesday, October 30th through Friday, November 1st.
  • stop 2505 – Sands Boulevard westbound from Koval Lane will be closed until further notice

Seven bus stops on Koval Lane will be closed until further notice:

  • stop 1253 – Koval Lane northbound after Rochelle Boulevard
  • stop 1248 – Koval Lane heading north after Flamingo Road
  • stop 1259 – Koval Lane northbound after Westchester Drive
  • stop 1260 – Koval Lane southbound after Krueger Drive
  • stop 1261 – Koval Road southbound after Winnick Boulevard
  • stop 1249 – Koval Road heading south after Flamingo Road
  • stop 1247 – Koval Lane southbound before Rochelle Boulevard
