Crowds waiting for Kamala Harris rally are facing heat-related issues, Houston Fire Department announces

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A handful of people waiting in line for Kamala Harris’ rally in Houston on Friday afternoon were transported due to temperature-related issues, officials announced.

In a post on X, the Houston Fire Department said emergency services are available at Shell Energy Stadium.

Officials did not specify how many people had temperature problems or their current condition.

Those needing a place to cool down are encouraged to use METRO’s cooling bus at the Capitol &St. Emanuel or Southeast Texas RAC’s refrigeration bus at Rusk and St. Emanuel.
