Cooper ends undefeated season with blowout win over Dixie Heights

EDGEWOOD, Ky. (WKRC) – The Cooper Jaguars continue to prowl the state of Kentucky as their journey to a perfect regular season culminates in a 63-21 victory over Dixie Heights.

The Jaguars would get on the board first and their opening drive would end with six points on a Cam O’Hara touchdown pass to Isaiah Johnson. After the Colonels tied things up, O’Hara scored two more goals to end the half, one to Jaidan Combs and the other to Johnson for a 21-7 lead. Cooper would continue to outpace Dixie offensively throughout the second half, scoring 42 more points on two TD passes, an eight-yard run for six points from O’Hara, and two rushing touchdowns from Keagan Maher.

The Jaguars’ regular season ended with an undefeated 10-0 record, giving them home-field advantage through the Class 5A playoffs and giving them their first perfect regular season in program history. Dixie fell to 3-6 on the year and will have another chance to finish their season with four wins when they face Ryle next week. The Colonels will enter the 5A playoffs as the fourth seed.
