Hitting a pole in Norfolk caused serious injuries, bush fire

NORFOLK, CT (WFSB) – A car on West Greenwoods Rd. He crashed into a power pole on top of him. Friday night.

A fire broke out on both sides of the road when the pole fell on the power lines as a result of the car crashing.

So far, 2 acres have burned, according to Norfolk Public Information Officer Jon Barbagallo. The fire has since been brought under control.

Police were unable to identify anyone involved.

State Police said the crash resulted in serious injuries. One person was transported by Life Star for treatment.

Greenwoods Avenue. It was closed due to the incident. Police continue their investigation at the scene.
